What is Vapi? Voice AI agent platform: you pick the transcriber, model and voice, and Vapi runs the call. Billing is $0.05 per minute for Vapi hosting plus provider costs passed through at cost, with optional monthly support packages.
How an agent uses it: The agent is the phone call: Vapi runs it with the transcriber, model and voice you pick, over its own numbers or your Twilio, Vonage or Telnyx; an MCP server exposes Vapi's API to AI assistants.
