Privacy Policy
Last updated: 15 October 2026
Evals Review (“we”) is operated by Siddharth Mishra, an individual based in India. This policy explains what we collect when you use this website and why. We try to collect as little as possible.
What we collect
- GitHub sign-in (only if you choose to review). When you sign in with GitHub, we receive your public GitHub profile and keep your GitHub username. We ask only for read access to your public profile. We don't receive your GitHub password. We don't store your GitHub access token after sign-in. A signed cookie keeps you signed in for up to 30 days.
- Reviews. Your ratings, review text, GitHub username and the date. These are shown publicly on the eval page.
- Newsletter. Your email address and whether you confirmed your subscription. We use double opt-in, so you are only subscribed after clicking the confirmation link. Subscriber emails and their status are stored in this site's database (hosted by Upstash). Emails are sent through Resend. Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe link.
- Forms. What you type into the Submit an eval or Sponsor forms, such as the eval name, link, notes, company and email if you give one.
- Technical data. Our hosting provider processes standard request data (such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested) to deliver and protect the site. We have not installed any analytics or advertising trackers. If that changes, we will update this policy first.
Why we use it
- To run the site, publish reviews and stop abuse (for example, one review per person per eval).
- To send the newsletter you asked for.
- To reply to submissions and sponsorship requests.
We don't sell your personal data, and we don't use it for advertising profiles.
Service providers
We rely on: Vercel (hosting), GitHub (sign-in), Upstash (database for newsletter subscribers, reviews and form submissions) and Resend (sending newsletter and confirmation emails). They process data on our behalf, and their servers may be outside your country, including in the United States.
How long we keep it
- Reviews: until you ask us to delete them, or we remove them under our review rules.
- Newsletter: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your email.
- Form submissions: as long as needed to handle them.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time with the link in each email. You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, including your reviews, through the Contact page. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under local law.
Cookies
We use only necessary cookies: one to keep you signed in and short-lived ones that protect GitHub sign-in. There are no tracking cookies.
Children
This site is meant for professionals and is not directed at children.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
