What is Lemon Squeezy? Merchant of record for digital products: it collects and remits sales tax and VAT for you. One fee per transaction, no monthly fee. Its 2026 update says the team is building Stripe Managed Payments and aims to help Lemon Squeezy users migrate there.
How an agent uses it: REST API for products, checkouts, subscriptions and licence keys; we did not find an official MCP server.
Best for: Existing users selling digital products who want a merchant of record; new projects should read the 2026 update first.
Note: Status: Lemon Squeezy's own 2026 update says its goal is to give users an easy way to move to Stripe Managed Payments.
