Playwright MCP: pricing, API and MCP for AI agents

What is Playwright MCP? Microsoft's open-source MCP server for Playwright. It gives an LLM a browser through structured accessibility snapshots rather than screenshots, so it does not need a vision model.

How an agent uses it: Add it to an MCP client (VS Code, Cursor, Windsurf, Claude Desktop and others) and the agent can open pages, click, type and read the page structure.

Best for: Coding agents and local workflows where a browser on your own machine is enough and you pay nothing.
